Hey, I used to go to Warner Pontiac (for recall stuff) until they dropped Pontiac and went the Kia route. It sucks to see, but I love the way the Vibe crumples. Most accident pictures I've seen show very little impact on the cabin of the vehicle, does my heart good.

I worked at Warner as a tech for 17yrs until 2000, so I may have worked on one of your vehicles.Yes, the engineered crumple zones work exceptionally well. The only real downside to this is that it causes so much damage to the vehicle, that they total out rather easily.

I didn't get my Vibe until 2007 so I probably missed you. You're not kidding about the easy total. I had some minor storm damage last year (just little scratches, mostly) but it was all over the car. Came out to a little over $4000 in damage, mostly due to the incredibly high cost of the plastic cladding. It occurred to me at the time that I could "total" my car just by walking around and making one continuous gouge across the cladding all the way around . Ultimately, I opted not to repair the cladding and got to shave $2500 off of my car loan instead If you're ever up in PKB let me know, we'll have a mini Vibe rally and shoot some photos.

Love the 'Birds'... but holy Fiero GT, Batman! Just when they started to really get it right... gone. Now Pontiac is gone. Sad. Always wanted a Fiero GT. Damn.Too bad they didn't fix your Vibe. Just doesn't look that damaged. You didn't get the full replacement spare, like those guys in the Liberty Mutual commercial, huh. What do they do with your Vibe, now? Sell it to someone who will fix it and sell it again?
