Ran over Coyote with the Vibe

Post by renate »

I just ran over a coyote with my Vibe.It ran right out in front ofme.I went back to make sure it wasn't someone's dog,as it came out of someone's yard...I called 911 to send animal control. It wasn't dead but it was laying in the middle of the road and wasn't able to get up.Poor thing. I had to leave it there as I was coming home from church and had my 87 year old disabled Mom in the car ..No damage to the Vibe, glad it wasn't a dog

Glad there was no damage to the car and all passengers are safe. It sucks when you hit an animal, even worse if it doesn't kill it.

I'm sure you aren't that sort of person, but a tire iron would have fixed the suffering... I had to do the hardest thing once... I drove past a freshly hit opossum.. It was still moving... I couldn't allow it to suffer on... I went back with a tire iron (my friend would let me use his hammer, that effin JERK, it would have made it all easier) It didn't happen as quickly as I had hoped.. Well, I took care of the suffering, only to notice it's belly was moving in multiple spots.. Imagine my horror.. That was one of the worst nights ever... I cried for HOURS.. and I'm a pretty burly guy..
