Third Brake Light Flashing Mod?

I've seen cars that when they brake, the third brake light will flash a few times. I think that's kind of a good thing so to maybe keep other drivers more aware of you. Anyone know how this can be done? Is this legal to do? Thanks.

I believe it is just a module that is wired just before the third brake light. In many areas they were sold in auto parts and dept. stores. Don't know if they still are. As to how legal would depend on local laws and PDs in your area most do consider it an illegal flashing red light on you car if they really want to get pickey about it. if you are the DYI electronics type here a a link for you.http://www.electronics-lab.com....html
