Yuppie wagons?

Post by Zeromus-X »

No, not the Vibe... the cargo trailer!http://www.boat-trailer.com/cargo-trailers.htmlDoes anyone have or know anyone who has a Yuppie Wagon on a Vibe? It seems like the perfect solution to what I need -- I've got to be able to move a few large equipment cases about once or twice a week, and they're too big to fit in the Vibe.I know these cars aren't made for towing, so I wanted to find something as lightweight as possible. I'll only be towing about 500 pounds of stuff, and the Yuppie Wagon weighs about 460 pounds, so that's well under the 1,500 pound limit I've read about.Never heard from anyone who's actually used one, though, much less with the Vibe. Anyone here?

As long as you don't get the YELLOW one... seems a good choice for hauling things!

Wonder how it would handle high winds on an express way.

From what I have read about them they are a good little trailer and they used to sell them here in Costco. The only complaints that I have heard from them is they are light and the side profile makes them a little hairy in high cross winds when empty. Depending on how much you are using them and your budjet I have been borrowing one from a friend and it is made by U.S. Cargo.http://www.uscargo.com/default...asterIt looks like this but it is only a 4X6 with 3.5 foot sides. They weigh in at about 500lbs and it streamlines behind the Vibe nicely since it is about the same profile through the air. The downside is the one he picked up cost about $1500.00.

Doesn't look like they have the 4x6 on their site anymore. The Yuppie Wagons are about the same price, I think I usually see them for about $1700. Price isn't a HUGE concern, because without the trailer I won't be able to move the equipment. It'll pay for itself fairly quickly. I just want to find the easiest way to move the equipment that won't require a new car or a new transmission!
