DAY TIME DRIVING LIGHTS

I know this has been discussed before, but what is the best way to disable these? in my old vibe. i cut a red and black wire or something like that. it was up under the dash, i remember there were 2 of them that were the same color and one did nothing and the other disabled them. but any info let me know. thanks
