So I got my '10 GT in August and have done very little to it. I am itching to start moding it but don't know where to start.... any suggestions?Performance Chip?CAI?Exhaust?Something else?I am novice when it comes to car but have friends into cars and a mechanic for a dad (like it or not he is helping...)Any suggestions?I also have concerns about voiding the warrenty... I read the posts on here, but am wondering if anyone has experienced any issues with Mods and GM...Thanks All
A good place to start would be the K&N Typhoon intake. Myself and quite a few other members here have it and it adds a nice sound to the car along with increased gas mileage and better performance.I suggest replacing the K&N oiled filter that comes with it with an AEM Dry Flow filter though so you don't have to worry about any problems with over-oiling.I have a ton of pictures of the intake installed on my '09 GT on my Car Domain page.As far as voiding the warranty, the intake is pretty easy to install and remove so if I ever need to take mine into the dealer for anything I will just put the stock intake back so they don't give me a hard time, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Now an exhaust and stuff that you can't just take off I personally wouldn't mess with while still under warranty. Just my $.02 though.
