Welcome to the Encyclopedia of Vibe!I think your the 'pic in profile' question is regarding what is called the 'avatar' on Genvibe. It's the 70 x 70 pixel image that shows up below your username. Choose My Profile, and then My Avatar, and you can choose from many Pontiac and Vibe-specific images already available on Genvibe, or upload your own.Trdvibe is right (of course!) about finding a host for your 'signature' pic which appears directly below posted messages.
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
used to be that you had to upload the image to some other web site, but genvibe had an upgrade last month that changed some things, so to put a pic in your signature:1. reply to this (or edit your first post in this thread, or any other thread actually) and use the file attachment to upload your image file to genvibe. 2. If you click on the link to the image, you can copy the URL to the uploaded image from the address bar in your browser, 3. then edit your Signature , and paste the URL to the image between and save, then your uploaded image should display in your signature
ooooohhhh the ROCK i think i paid just under $700 including shipping. I installed them myself to save another $300-500. not hard, just very very time consuming!
it's pretty cool if you upload a pic in a thread and use it in your signature, then you can see how many times your sig has been viewed. (if you ignore caching )Edit - On November 8, 2004 I uploaded a pic and included it in my signature. Also, on 11/16, I added a counter to the signature.Today (12/6/2004) the pic in the signature has been downloaded 4815 times, but the counter, which started at 1, is now up over 10,000. I think the difference is that the counter, being a cgi program, is updated every time someone loads a page with my counter in it, while the uploaded static picture is cached, and not downloaded every time someone loads a page with it on it. Hitting refresh on the page would bump the counter, but not the image download count.
