Newbie here

Post by good vibrations 09 »

Looking to 'modify' my 2009 vibe. My boyfriend things I should -- he has a 2003 modified Sunfire ( you can see the influence rubbing off ). Since my car is still new ( one year old ), I would want to start to do some modifications - ie. Underglow, 18 chrome rims ( 5 spoke ), tint, extra. I'm curious to see if anyone has a 2009 vibe that has been modified yet? I would love to see one and see how it looks. Thanks for helping out a newbie!

Welcome, don't forget to post pics of your Vibe here, what color is it? Base, GT, or AWD? and if you've got them, post up pics of the BF's Sunfire.Quote, originally posted by good vibrations 09 »I'm curious to see if anyone has a 2009 vibe that has been modified yet? Well, I guess it all depends on what you mean by modified, You won't find many Vibes here with underglow. As for me, I've tinted, switched out the crappy Toyota factory horns, added SilverStar lights up front, and added a K&N short ram air intake to mine... Tint as follows... SilverStar headlights...

I didn't even think about changing out the horn! All my friends make fun of the way it sounds .. I just say they're jealous! Really, you should change the horn!

In my opinion it's pretty cheesy and it's not really practical since most places it's illegal to drive with it on. As far as wheels go, 5 spoke would be nice, but I think chrome looks cheesy. Tint always looks good. Ultimately it's up to you what you do since it's your car and you're the one that has to look at it everyday .I have an '09 Liquid Platinum Metallic GT with Silver Stars, 35% tint, K&N intake and a few other things. Check out my Car Domain page for pictures. Let me know if you have any questions or anything.Quote, originally posted by VforVibe »As for me, I've tinted, switched out the crappy Toyota factory horns, added SilverStar lights up front, and added a K&N short ram air intake to mine...Minus the horn (and color ), we could be twins ! For those of you who haven't seen her other post, it appears she is the proud owner of a Steel Blue Metallic base model.

I fell in love with the Rim's that the 09 VIBE GT has. Becuase of the bolt pattern of the GT, its not going to fit my vibe. We're on a mission to find me some nice rims that hopefully will be similar to the ones on the VIBE GT.

And Good Vibes, just as a reference, my tint is 15% all around... make sure you check with your local tint laws before getting it tinted, your local tint shop should also be able to tell you what it is as well.

Nice bumper sticker V Definitely switch out the horns, love my hella supertones! Sorry, have an '06, so have nothing for you as far as '09 pics...but... rims/tint are always a good place to start! I have 20% tint all around. Would love to see the sunfire pics as well, that was my last ride and I wish I had done more to it.Welcome to the site BTW!

They are very nice, especially for factory wheels.I had these on my Sunfires. They come in hyper silver or gunmetal. The gunmetal would look great on your Steel Blue Metallic Vibe in my opinion.Quote, originally posted by VforVibe »Oh, and I forgot to mention mine also has a "I the Pontiac Aztek" bumper sticker Hey I'll get you one and we really could be twins! LOL ! The more I see them, the more I want to get one and make it look halfway decent . I have seen a silver one locally and it has less of the black plastic on it. It doesn't look half bad. They are a ton of Assteks around here.
