tire pressure Monitor - ON !

This morning was maybe a little cold so my TPM is ON. I made some circle around the car and all tires look OK. How to deactivate it ? What is in manual didn't work for me so far !

Deactivate the TMPS?AHAHAHHAHAHAHA you wish.Seriously though this thing can't be deactivated. The cold probably affected the air pressure inside your tires so it appears that your pressure is too low.Add a little air.

Serach the forum a little and you will see many threads about people discussing TPMS sensors in winter. Since you can't turn the system off for winter, the warning light is always on when you swap your alloys for steel wheels.If the system could simply be turned off, then we wouldn't be discussing this problem. (and we would LOVE it)TPMS sucks.

If the cold weather was the only reason the tpms light was on, you shouldn't expect to see it too often. It may be a sign that one or more tire may be missing just a little bit of air but not enough to trigger the sensors without "help" from the colder weather. TPMS usually lit up when a tire's pressure is 5% or more too low.

This is really bad news. About 2 hours ago I decided to try my wife's hands free phone jack that puts the phone through the radio, when I decided to give the TPMS another reset shot (it has been blinking at me since I put my alloys on in April) so I got the book out and turned the key on to ACC and then waited a few minutes. Then I followed the rest of the instructions and pushed and held the reset button until the TPMS indiator blinked slowly three times (the first time it has actually followed the sequence) and then waited a few minutes and the light stayed off. I'll find out tomorrow if it actualy worked. And then Sunday, I'm taking them off and puting on my snows/steelies. I tried to get the system to reset all Summer without succcess. Now I may have gotten the thing to finally do it, and maybe for just one day. Then I have to start trying to get the sensors on the steelies set up. Great!Would filling the tires with nitrogen help stabilize the tire pressures during the seasonal temperature swings? I generally check my tires every couple of weeks to try to keep them at even pressure settings. We have be seeing the lower 40s during the early afternoon hours the last few days, but on Sunday we may be getting temperatures up to the lower 60s again. One of the office vehicles where I work is an 09 Vue, and it displays actual pressure readings from the tires. I really don't like our system at all.

Take it to the gas station and inflate the tires! I run the RS-A's at 38 psi. Altitude and ambient temperature have a huge effect on tire psi so check them regularly (once a month at least!)

YES, that is exactly what I did with my car, last winter. The next morning day, at -2 F, both tires on left side where FLAT !

For some reason, a few weeks ago my rear driver side tire was low and I got the "signal". I added air and the signal went away. No reset needed. I have checked that tire and it seems to be holding its pressure. The low pressure warning happened a couple weeks after the dealer LOF service that is supposed to include many things including checking the tire pressures. I suspect that was never done. So much for Mr. Goodwrench taking care of you.

A piece of black electrical tape to cover that pesky TPM idiot light, is the best permanent cure.Mine will come on EVERY time I drive for more than 25 miles nonstop on the freeway. I just got tired of resetting it, only to have it come back on in a week.With all the 'false warnings', it's useless, anyways.If I pulled over to check it every time (like I used to) it would be almost every week. WAAAYY too much trouble, for what it is
