There is an alternative now to paypalhttps://www.gunpal.net/gpIf you are unaware of it. It's a good company that will donate the fees to a non-profit company of your choice.I plan on signing up and I suggest you do as well.

Cool. I'd sign up for any alternative to paypal, even if they just used the fees to buy gummy bears for third world countries, or to invest in a company that wanted to produce grass that squeaked when you walk on it. It would still be better than paypal.

I have my qualms with PayPal as well, but as an active eBay seller I also recognize the benefits of a recognized name. I don't see many people lining up to buy items I have listed if all they see is "We accept GunPal!". My biggest beef with PayPal is their "the buyer is always right" attitude. They're quick to completely disregard everything that a buyer "agreed" to when they bid on an item (things like an agreed-on time frame for returns, who's responsible for shipping charges, etc). Maybe "quick" is the wrong word, since it takes them a month or so to actually resolve a dispute. All of this makes it really easy for someone to have a little buyer's remorse and return something whenever they feel like it for a full refund. Having said that, I also detest the NRA (and every other lobbying group for that matter) and I don't see supporting them or their cause. Nothing to do with gun rights (fire away, I'm a gun fan myself), I just can't stand our legal bribery system here in the states. If you go through GunPal's "board of directors" page, every one of those guys is associated with or seems to make their living through lobbying groups on the state or national level. This isn't a bad idea, but I'd rather not put money into the pockets of lobbyists if I can help it./end rant

As an eBay buyer, I have no beef with PayPal. I have never made a claim - but the threat has caused a couple of sellers to do what was right to settle a legit complaint. One time I just never received the merchandise - seller claimed he shipped it - I was suspicious but let that one go. I had bought something for a lot less than it was worth - so my claim was only for about $5, not the $50 the item was worth. I think the seller just didn't ship. So you can see that I do not over-reach.

I see your point, however did you stop to think your supporting anti-gun companys? Both paypal and ebay are anti gun. If you are caught using their service to buy any gun related products they will close and freeze your account.So either support the NRA or Nancy Pelosi LOLBoth are evil in their own respect.Granted like I said on MO, they could have picked a less "in your face" company name.One good thing I see gunpal is doing and not paypal is donating a portion of the fees to a non profit of your choice.

I think they accept all Ebay stuff as it is already screened by Ebay to not be "anything Ebay thinks is needed for a gun to work" Also, I am not sure, but I believe that muzzleloaders are completely fine with Ebay's policies I may be mistaken though. You don't even need an FFL to ship muzzleloaders to your door under federal laws anyway. If you buy something from somewhere else, and when transferring the funds indicate it is a firearm, firearm part, or firearm accessory they will be unhappy. EDIT:After a quick check, yes, those muzzleloader parts are fine with Ebay's rules.

I'm not sure if eBay and PayPal are specifically "anti-gun", I just think they don't want to deal with the liability issues that would arise with selling guns, verifying ages, criminal background checks and all that jazz. I don't blame them
