Has anyone else experienced the steering wheel jerking about 90 degrees to the left when stopping quickly at low speeds on a level surface, it is like the electric assist has a mind of its own, you must hold the wheel to keep going straight.
Nope. Sounds like premature braking on one front wheel, but I don't know why that would happen in a 2009. I had that problem in my '62 Mercury Meteor (back in 1983).

I have that problem but only on severly rutted pavement or when braking with one side of the car on gravel. It jerks to whichever side or the car is riding up on the rut.
Yeah, no shock about torque steer on acceleration. On braking it must be premature lock up. I'd definitely take it in for warranty work, especially if it consistently does it.
