The lounge always seems like a good place for intros.I got to thinking about how a vibe/matrix can be modified. Since the vibe shares so much with the matrix. How much to be exact? Are they the same frame style? suspension, engine, transmission, etc?Is the aftermarket strong, or dwindling due to pontiac shutting doors?I was thinking about the AWD, but read it only comes with the slower engine, and automatic, has a swap for the higher output engine ever been done?

With minor exceptions (cabin air filter for example) it is bolt for bolt a Toyota. Furthermore this is a Toyota Corolla and it is known as the Corolla Wagon overseas.Parts will be available for many years to come both from Toyota and from the after market world. Body parts may get harder to find as GM abandons the breed but there are so many out there that used parts should be available for as long as most of us care to get them.Overall, it is a wonderful vehicle. Cheap, economical, reliable and the Vibe has it all over the Matrix when it comes to visual appeal! There are unanswered questions on Toyota's plans for the Matrix, we'll wait and see if it continues on into the future.Dave
Welcome!Mechanically the Vibe is the same as the Matrix and many mods should be interchangeable. Body work is completely different. Matrix parts will not be usable on the Vibe.
