Hey folks,I'm a new owner of an 05 Vibe Gt (1.8L) and need to get some winter tires and steel rims asap (driving and moving a very long distance on Friday). I've been reading that if I want to drop to a 15 inch tire, the size most are recommending is a 195 65 r15. Now, this may sound a bit silly (keep in mind I'm not too car smart), but when it comes to rims, what do I need to know for size? I understand I need a 15 inch rim with a 5 bolt 100mm pattern (?) but is that it? Can I just walk in to CT or Costco etc. and ask for that type/size of steel rim? Will it allow for proper clearance etc.? Your help is very greatly appreciated!Cheers,M.
You should be able to walk into any shop that would sell the rims and tell them the year make and model of your car and they will be able to find the right wheels for you.

o.k. cool.I just wasn't sure how it would work because I want to drop to a 15 inch wheel for the winter and according to the parts guys at a couple of GM dealers I've spoken with, there is no listed 15 inch rim for a vibe. They said that, obviously, they would have to be purchased from an aftermarket dealer, but to make sure that someone had checked the size/type of rim to make sure I'd get the proper clearance etc. necessary. I just didn't know if this was as simple as going to my local tire shop.
