There's a good way to get those annoying left-lane bandits out of your way!And yes, that would be illegal here!

Can't use red or blue lights - but green and yellow might be legal. I see School Buses with a white flashing light - idea is to make sure people see them. I think motorcycles should be required to have a bright white flashing light front and rear. That might significantly reduce accidents.

I've seen those headlight modulators but if they became law do you really expect everyone to go and install them?? Seatbelts are the law everywhere and still people don't wear them... Next time you're at a traffic light, count the yellow and red runners. When I ride the bike I EXPECT people to cut me off, not see me, turn in front of me and be all around a-holes (just like everyday). If you want to make the roads safer then how about mandatory drivers licence retesting every 5 years no matter what your age is! $500 fine for running a red light. Cause an accident, lose your licence for 5 years and be forced to sell your car!Safety starts and ends with the driver!

thats my vibe, blue lights are courtesy lights in PA for volunteer emergency responders (firefighters/emts/medics/fire police/emergency management) I'm changing them to red at the end of this month once next monthly meetings vote is in, Red is used for fire/ems officers, also have to have a siren if you display red lights as required by law, blue light users are no allowed to use sirens, all POV (personal vehicles) light users are on file with PSP (state police) all users must have at least one light visible 360 degreeswhite can only be used with red lights, have to face forwardamber can only be used with red lights, have to face rear (directional arrowsticks)traffic light changing devices used with red lights preemption/opticom flash white extremely fast, also come in non visible flash modelspurple lights for funeralswhite strobe on rear, amber/red flashing lights for school busescombined blue and red lights for police/federalgarbage trucks/road construction use amber lights and arrowsticksheadlight strobes can only be used in Emergency Department Vehicles police/fire that have Emergency Vehicle license platespersonal vehicles are not allowed any lights in headlight assemblies because they alter the original factory specs by drilling holes, and when time comes to sell they are no longer factory perfect im assuming...personal vehicles can have wig wag flashing headlight module controlled by switch only if you are authorized to use red lights in you POVgreen is used for command post/command vehicle when it is stationary or on some new fire trucks its used to determine if the vehicle has a full tank of water by displaying a gaugeblue lights = courtesty, must obey all traffic rules, not allowed to go over speed limit or through stop signs or red lights even if all other vehicle give you the right of way at a traffic light you are not allowed, no siren usage allowed, no white lights or amber lights allowedred light users are allowed 15 over speed limit, proceed through stop signs after coming to complete stop and given the right of way by opposing traffic, at traffic lights they must also come to a stop and then procede through unless traffic is visible in all dirrections, must use sirenfour way hazard flashers may only be used when vehicle is stationary as they are designed to warn other drivers of slow vehicles or obstruction on roadway

Quote, originally posted by jake75 »That is a bit extreme Well ya, a bit... But that's why DRL's have been mandatory in Canada for many years and lights always on for motorcycles for decades. + if I run my bike without the headlight, I'll cook the battery in about an hour. How long do you think the average crotch-rocket/harley rider would leave a light modulator on their bike - how many people on genvibe have unplugged their DRL's???
