The 2005 models did not have chips in the keys, so a basic key is fine, the only difference is that the replacement key might not have the Pontiac plastic on it, but using it won't cause any problems. Good thing too, that way additional keys are a lot cheaper. (The keys take a Toyota key blank.)There is a multistep procedure on programming replacement key fobs, and the ones off ebay will work, and you don't need to go to a dealer to get it done.
