I have been on this site for quite some time now but never posted on anything or uploaded pictures. I previously had a 2005 frosty... but finally at 142,000 miles i decided to total it... (not intentionaly lol)... but after a little saving i found myself another 2005. Car has 193,000 miles on it. It was a pilot car for wide load semis that travel across country. The tranny is is out of a totalled 06 with 1200 miles on it. No ticks, or knocks. Car has one minor blemish in the front end where previous owner hit a coyote. But i am looking for a new fog light assembly for the front right to pop in. I have done a few things already to the car including. Tinting the taillights, tinting the rear backup lights, debadged the side and rear of car. Painted and relocated the vibe emblem to the driver rear window (white). Removed the rear pontiac emblem and tinted it black and placed it on the shift console. I am going to attatch some photos tell me what you guys think of it for 2800 bucks and 193,000 miles! i love this car to death. I have my eyes on a few sets of black wheels for it.
haha yes i love my asic shoes... i have ran multiple half marathons and 10k races... cross country in highschool will do that to you... but recently have found myself hitting the couch rather than the gym... probably should get back to that haha. also i am new so dont ream me for this lol. But would anyone wanna do that headlight mod with putting them in the oven etc... if someone could purchase the extra lights for me and paint them i would appreciate it and send you a cashiers check for the cost and extra for the labor.... also I DO NOT trust myself to do that LED swap on the gauges... that is too much for this guy haha... If i remove the IPC will it still record mileage or will it stop while it is removed?
So the tranny failed at under 192,000 miles. What a piece of junk .

Your best bet would be to contact keithvibe. I'm not sure if he has any extras at this time, but he'd be the first to contact concerning it. The gauges being removed, I believe, will no longer record any mileage. Not sure exactly what the IPC means. Now there have been other members that have changed their colors by using spotlight gels I think. But, if you are ever around IN, let me know and we'll see what we can work out with your gauges.Oh, welcome to GenVibe btw!!

IPC referring to Instrument Panel Cluster... And Well the projectors would be awesome but im not sure what the price is for those? i guess im a newbie obviously. But i was referring to the people who had gotten the epoxy hot enough in the headlights to pull the covers off and painted the chrome edges around the inside of the covers.
gotcha. Never seen that acromyn before.I'm not sure on the prices either, esp if he has a complete one. To bake them open though, set you oven for 200. Once it hits 200, turn it off and place the lamps in there for 10 or 15 minutes. Hopefully someone that can remember the exact time will chime in bc I can't realy remember. Once you take them out, it's simply some prying, cussing, finese, and some more cussing. Just make sure that you remove all the external screws so that way you don't have some random screw holding it together.

i worked for gm for a few years. so i got IPC from the online gm service area they always reffered to them as that lol. sorry for the confusion quick question now dont grill me for this stupid idea lol... but the piece that sits in front of the actual bulb in the headlight could you tint that and make it look like i guess a pupil in an eyeball? or would it destroy all the lighting?
I think that it does provide an actual benefit as a reflector. It's main function of course is to act as a shield. Now the big question is how much of an impact will it have tinting or painting the shield? It may be time consuming, but you could just use the trial and error method. Find someone that has done an HID swap that has their left over shields and see if you can buy it from them. I just threw mine away this weekend Try and get a good baseline standard, and then painted/tinted. If the painted method takes away too much light, then switch back.

on the cost, contact keithvibe. We's the one that has a contact and can get them for you. They come with the projectors, bulbs, ballasts, and you can choose your color of the halo. The hardest part is opening the headlamp. Since you are already planning on doing that, it's not much harder than that. The biggest thing is deciding where to mount your ballast and brains of the operation and then running your halo wires into the cab. If you've ever done a HID swap before then that part of it (not counting baking open the lamps) should be a piece of cake for ya.
