Help....

Post by burrpenick »

Is there a typical problem that an engine oil leak starts at? My 2003 base model is using some oil, not heavy, but at 114k I didnt expect it. I can see some oil spray back behind the engine, looks to be more on the passenger side. Any tips and solutions????

DON'T wash the engine bay. Crawl under the car and try to find where it's coming from. With the engine being dirty, the oil will have left a noticable mark/trail/patch as to where it's coming from. With any luck, it's nothing more then a loose bolt! But it's more likely a seal.

Yeah, it's most likely coming from about the hardest spot possible to see too... lol... Never herd much about Vibe leaking, but there isn't any guarantee on it either...
