My Car starter don't crank

Post by jonnyt822 »

I tested everything and my conclusion is that I blow up a fuse (or it is what I think). When I put the key in the ON position, I should have power in the Ignition 1 BLACK/WHITE (+) cable. But I don't have power. If I put my car in the ON position and I put a jumper cable from the battery cable to the ignition 1 B/W cable, I can uses my car and while I keep this jumper the car run fine and when I want to turn off it, I am taking out this jumper. That is why I believes it is a fuse or relay, but I don't which one.I got the Wire color from this forum.http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=31372Thank you.

Did you check the battery voltage wire ("Battery WHITE & BLACK (+)") at the ignition switch? This should be 12V all the time. If it is not, then it's probably a fuse, possibly one in the engine bay.If this wire is 12V but the "Ignition 1 BLACK/WHITE (+)" is not 12V when you turn the key to ON, it sounds like a problem with the ignition switch.
