Strange rotational noise

Post by Lcart00 »

I have developed a rotational type noise. It will start off slow, then pick up speed as I accelerate. Didn't seem to matter what tire type was on car. Noise will go away with fresh tires then come back as tires wear. Have checked alignment several times, tie rods etc and find nothing. Anyone have a fresh thought??

weclome to genvibe (three years late, but it says its your first post )Quote, originally posted by Lcart00 »Noise will go away with fresh tires then come back as tires wear. My car cups tires, even with proper alignment. Its nice and quiet when I get new tires, but after a while, even with rotating tires, the passenger side tires get cupped. Sometimes they get to the point where they make a sound like when my tranny went out. I've got a set of Goodyear tripletreds on there now, next set won't be directional, so I can cross rotate and hopefully get more miles out of them before they get noisy.
