XM Renewal

Post by spiffy1001 »

I just called XM to renew my subscription following my 3 month preview. I got them down to $76/year. They told me I would recieve my first bill in October 2010. Does that seem right to those who pay yearly? I don't have to pay in advance? Seems odd.

I'm not sure with XM, but with Sirius they made us pay in advance. Not worth the $$ IMO.

Heard that you can get them down was low as $4.99 per month.

I had been doing searches on the best deal XM would offer - $76/year for all channels is it. I talked them down to it. Oddly enough, I only wanted the family friendly package, but they would not discount it. So it was the family package at $105/year, or the all channel package for $76. I asked her three times if I didn't have to pay until 2010, she started to get irritated with me. I will let you know if I get a bill.

I'd totally keep XM but my SS is getting garaged for the winter so I would have to buy a separate unit and I dont want to spend even more money...

I got offers for that rate but it was just for perhaps 4 months - then they automatically charged you full price going forward from there unless you opted out.
