I have a 2010 Base Vibe, Red with 16 steels. Planning on getting 18's x 7.5 or 8, any suggestions? I'm leaning more towards the black rims since I have a red vibe. I was looking at a few Kyowa rims. Also, I live in Minnesota, so how much would you guys suggest I lower my vibe? If any at all... Planning on using 18's for summer and 16's for winter. As for driving in deep dirty snow, I don't do much of that, I mainly drive on main roads that are decently plowed, unless we get a down pour of snow. Thanks.-No pictures yet, will surely load some up some time.
Hi and welcome to GV... !Wheels.... Well, where have you looked? Tire Rack? Discount tire? Ever look at Rota wheels? Can't help you pick one, it's a very personal choice and also a very money dependent one.. If it wasn't money driven, I'd say Volk TE37's, but at 800/wheel, most can't afford...
I haven't looked much anywhere yet, still have the whole winter to run through, I just wanted to get a little more knowledge first. But anyways, I wouldn't mind spending 1200 or so for wheel/tires combo. Any opinion on lowering my vibe? I just don't want to run into problems people have had before, lol
Lowering the second generation Vibe is a bit problematic. Other than TRD, I haven't seen one lowering spring specifically made for the new Vibe - and even that's for the Matrix. However, I haven't checked in a few weeks. As far as how low to go, I want to go 2-3 inches based on how high this car sits and the extra large wheel gap. Even at 3" I don't expect to have any clearance problems - seems like there's lots of room.I figure eventually Eibach or H & R will make specific springs for a Matrix, which will work well enough for me. If Eibach, I will use the Sportlines. It also appears that the prior generation springs will work, but the drop will be more pronounced. I will wait patiently for the specific spring, however.

Lets see if this works... http://www.tirerack.com/wheels...BrandEDIT: Yep, have at it... You can also view the wheels on the car EDIT 2: I personally thing the Enkei RPF-01 in black would look SICK on your car, they are also decently cheap, strong and light..!!
Those are one of my favorite styles - a lot like Scion TC wheels.
