I have a 07 that I just purchased. Really love this car. The airbag on the right side has a bad scratch on the cover. I was rubbing on the cover and noticed that it moves around left, right up and down when you put your hand on it. Is it suppose to do that?. Car chek and carfax showed no airbag replacement and no reported accidents. Also is the cover part of the bag unit? I wanted to replace the cover if it was removable. Thanks for the info.

The airbag will either push the cover up (shattering the windshield) or blow through the cover (also shattering the windshield). Removing the cover would involve removing the entire dash but I believe that the airbag and cover are seperate units.
