Want opinion/feedback on Tint

Post by lowincash »

I'm thinking of redoing the tint on my car again. I'm kind of bored of the all black look. Right now I have about 15% in the rear and 70% in the front windows and windshield. The uneven look is really bugging me and I wanted to get the front dark but don't want to risk getting a ticket again Now I plan on getting the car retinted with 40% v-kool tint. Here's a picture of what it looks on another car (civic)The tint has a bit of a greenish hue to it which i kind of like. The 40% tint will block 64% of the heat coming in so that's all I wanted. I'm not really caring about privacy anymore. Maybe I'm getting older or whatever but the all black look seems to attract cops more and I still get paranoid around them lol Anyways, think it'll look good on a black vibe? I think it'll have an interesting look to it.

I say go for it. Looks nice, and I'm sure it'll make your car look different in a good way. Another bonus is that it will keep you from getting more tickets.BTW, what is that building?

Not a fan of it to be honest. Your current tint looks good.

Right now i'm fishbowlin woith no tint and may continue to do so... I can't hide that the cars got it goin on... I do like the idea of blocking some of the heat though... I'll have to look at it... I could still kinda get my fishbowl on, if they have 20% or something... lol.. You know, now that I think about it (don't know why I hadn't before) Just as I got laid off 4mo back... I was working on a development project for creating a special coating to "trap" light on one side of a pane of glass, while blocking certain wavelengths completely AND keeping it clear... !!!! It worked I hear...

I looked into this stuff on the website, and I'd need to use 70 or clear on the front side windows here in IA, the rear, and back side windows can be totally black aparrently and they don't care. What kind of prices do you think this stuff runs?

i have 70% on my windshield and front sides. windshield was $250 and sides were $180 i think. planning on redoing the whole car using their 40% which blocks out the most heat. gonna leave the windshield alone tho. the thing is with this type of film, it's got a greenish color to it. here's a pic of my maxima with 70% all aroundi was going to do this again but want a bit darker =/

I think a greenish tint would look good on a black car.I like J to Envy's 35% tint all around, which is what I intend to do. I got a quote for Huper Optik ceramic tint but it was $499. Gulp. Not in my budget for a long time.
