Seat belt "trim" area keeps popping out.

Post by Renthorin »

the area where the belt goes down into the trim next to the front seats. When the seat belt is pulled hard for any number of reasons it pops the trim loose. Not a difficult fix as I bend the plastic tab back in and tuck it back into place but it is annoying to continually have to do this.Anyone have a fix besides screwing the two pieces together?thanks,Will

I haven't taken that apart so I'm not sure how best to fix it (but I hate to see a question go unanswered) I have a similar problem with the trim on the A pillar, between the windshield and the door. Hit a bump and the thing comes loose, looks like some sort of impale the face death tool from a "final destination" movie. I've replaced the little push retainers a couple of times, about ready to just screw the thing on.

Thanks :-)I probably will place a small attractive screw into the seat belt cover and secure it to the b-pillar so it stops popping out.
