centre dome light needs replacing?

My wife called me this morning and said that the overhead centre dome light no longer comes on (but the rear dome does)(05 Vibe). Anyone know the part # for this bulb and is it straightforward removing the plastic cover to replace this bulb?Thanks for your advice.

Just remove and replace. Pretty straight forward. Depending on how tight the cover is, you may have to use a lil more pressure.

For both the center dome light (the one just behind the front seats) and the rear one in the hatch area the cover just pries off. I just catch with a fingernail or two and pull it off.The bulb is a cylinder with metal contacts on both ends, I forget the number, but its easy enough to take out to find a match at the store. If she needs the center one more than the rear, you can move the bulb out of the back one to the center one.There's a sticky thread in the Interior subform about interior bulb replacement guide but ragingfish's pictures are broken there (and many other places as well)

Just to make sure...it isnt possible for only one of two dome lights to be on...right? That is there is no individual control for each light is there? So one off and one on simultaneously would mean a burnt out bulb?

Got the bulb for almost half the price at Toyota. All is well.
