Gran Am or other Pontiac wheels??

Post by asburydan »

Does anyone know if wheels on other Pontiac models will fit the Vibe without changing tire sizes. I know a couple of them have 16" wheels and seem to have the 5 X 100 bolt pattern, but I need a better answer or reference as to where to look. Thanks for your help.

As long as the bolt pattern is the same and the offset is close, you should be ok.

I don't know about other Pontiacs, but I have heard that some other Toyota rims will fit, I believe some Corolla and Camry rims fit, Matrix ones should be exact fits, but don't quote me on that.

...like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, you have to keep repeating over and over to yourself: "...the Pontiac Vibe is a Matrix made by Toyota."
...and the Devil said: "...yes, but it's a DRY heat!"

Only other pontiac in recent years, that I can recall, that runs the 5x100 bolt pattern is the Pontiac Sunfire. The Chevrolet Beretta and Corsica were both 5x100 and the Cavalier was as well.Just do some research and you should be able to find a list by bolt circle and what cars had the same. Then you just need to figure out offset.

Do a Google search for bolt pattern guide and you will get to a site that has a chart with bolt patterns for many cars. I think it lists offset as well, but I am not sure. Also you can search for wheels on TireRack.com and put in year and car you are thinking of taking wheels from and it will show you new wheels and you can see if they match Vibe's 5 X 100 38mm offset.
