I just got a 2010 vibe gt 2.4L as my daily driver and I need some more power and I just want to know if there are any performance intakes out there and if the magnaflow exhaust kit sounds pretty good for it and how is the power.

Welcome to GenVibe, there sure is an intake, K&N has one, but you have to look under the Toyota Matrix, the Vibe's twin. There is also a member who has the K&N with Magnaflow exhaust... I forget who though...

It gives the engine a nice rumble and a little extra oomph as well. I recommend getting a dry air filter for it though so you don't have to worry about over oiling and wrecking the IAT sensor or anything else. I am using an AEM DryFlow filter on mine. Here is the thread, with sound clips, from the member (imspace2) who has the K&N intake and Magnaflow exhaust on his '09 GT.

I'd like to pick up that CAI for $200 - now the cheapest on ebay is about $260 plus shipping.

It ended up costing me right about $300.00 with buying the intake and the AEM DryFlow filter.Quote, originally posted by Myevo8u »Thank you all for the info!!You're welcome !

Personally, I wouldn't worry about the intake. I decided while I was installing the intake that it's easy enough to install that if I need to take the car into the dealer for something I will just un-install it so I don't have to worry about them giving me a hard time.On the other hand, you obviously can't un-install an exhaust. Personally, I would be leery of installing an exhaust until the warranty is up. From what I have read on here though, they can't void your warranty unless they can prove that an aftermarket part is what caused the problem.

Legally, a vehicle manufacturer cannot void the warranty on a vehicle due to an aftermarket part unless they can prove that the aftermarket part caused or contributed to the failure in the vehicle (per the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act (15 U.S.C. 2302(C))If a dealership denies warranty coverage, they should be willing to do so in writing. Have the dealer describe the failure which is causing your problem AND how the dealer believes the aftermarket product installed is responsible for the problem.some links:http://www.granatellimotorspor...s.htmhttp://www.enjoythedrive.com/content/?id=7253Refer to http://www.semasan.com/main/main.aspx?id=60128 for information regarding warranty being denied

I should be getting it back in about 1 to 2 months from the shop. Check out my photobucket page or go to myevo8u007 on YouTube but the YouTube vids and the photobucket vids are from a yr ago not the new parts.

You on Xceed? I'm sure you are...
I figured... I don't frequent Xceed to much anymore... just too much asshattery allllllllll the time... I am trying to shoot for making the BBQ on the 28th though... 2yrs ago, there was a 300+ car turn out..!! A few other members here even showed with vibes..
I got the 2010 base 2.4l last month and the first thing I had done on it was to install a dynomax super turbo muffler on it,not as great or $$ as a full blown cat back but it sure made a difference in pickup and sound.A nice rumble at idle but not a super growl (loud) when you punch it plus no annoying resonance in the cabin. Along with a aFE dry air filter for better air flow I feel like a got a great little car for the price it also has a lot of potential for further improvement, unfortunately the "X" got the rest of my mod $$$. BTW I read someone installed a K&N Typhoon cai along with a 3" flex tube to get more cold air to the filter, neat idea.
