- never mind i figured it out the guy at circuit city gave me the wiring harness for the 4 speaker not the 6 so tomorrow i go back and get myself a new harnessthanks for the diagram i think it will prove usefull in the futurealso for theose who had questions about the theft deterent radio i unhooked mine and then put it back in once i dicoverd that wiring harness problem i did have the led on the stereo blink before hand and it reconnected and functioned like cake so i dunno maybe you have to arm that code thing if it even exists

hey i went to a car audio place and the guy was like ok this is the head unit you need and it has the big cable and you have to keep the stock head unit in the car somewhere hidden or the airbags wont work. I think he was on crack cause when i pulled the factroy one and turned my car on the airbag light didnt come one. any ideas on this i still only think i need a remote lead wire i decided to run the head unit out of my rca plugs anyway so that i wont get static

been a lot of discussion about these, but The stock radios do not have the theft deterrent system, so you don't have to worry about entering a code to get them to work if they lose power http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=4513 The radio has nothing to do with the airbag circuit. The airbag circuit is probably the most reliable thing in your car. Lots of people replace the radio with aftermrkets. To avoid bankrupting GM with lawsuits, they'd have to put giant warnings all over the place , and there are none. http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=2840
