Cruise Control Woes..

Post by Cwew »

I recently had my cruise control go out. I have a 2003 6 speed Pontiac Vibe Manual transmission with the stock cruise control. I also just had my clutch replaced. I am wondering if the two are connected. I've done searches on genvibe and google trying to find the wire path it may take, or how it would hook up to the clutch if it does. Does anyone have any insights that could help me narrow down if this is a bad clutch install and they forgot to plug something in (or cut a wire) or if this is just a coincidental malfunction of my cruise?Thanks,--Cwew

It's quite possible... You should be able to trace the cable to the control unit.. One cable from the throttle body should go to the pedal and the other to the cruse control module..I also have the service manual in my signature... something to look at..

Great! thanks for the service manual link. I guess I have a labor day weekend project. (Edit)After reading part of the manual you linked I've already determined that the actuator assembly isn't plugged in. So now I just have to see where the plug is, or if it was removed for some reason.Thanks,--Cwew
