Passenger pet peeves

Post by cptnsolo77 »

Alright! I know you all have them. When your driving someone around what do they do that irritates you the most? I have 3 no-no's......-Smoking in car-eating in car-leaving tissues, gum wrappers, trash etc. (pickup after yourself!)

Wow for some of these things, I wonder why you'd have these types of people in your car in the first place! I like to think that anyone who'd be in my car is a friend and therefore not an issue.

I hate driving with dramatic people. If you can't sit still, walk. If you aren't driving, then stop trying to.
No Sharting
xD.for me it's don't put your feet on my dashboard. i have a friend who always does this, and i tell him don't do that. it's a pain to clean. he does it anyways. another one i hate is when people lean on stuff. on my center arm rest the top bin is semi broken, that's how i got it. there isn't the clip to hold it closed. if you put your hand on it you can easily slide it from side to side. i'm not sure and i don't want to test it, but it seems like it will break if it moves too much laterally. they lean on it when i turn. it's not like i'm turning hard or anything, i'm not leaning on it when turning in either direction, so (removed)?
None. Vibe is gone.

I will agree with all of thesePutting your feet on the dashboard isn't allowed either (unless you are my wife then it's ok because I'm smarter then to bring up that issue again)

Agree with most some are a little over the top, but the one that gets me is my driving habits, and the worse is when they complain about my shifting!!

If you don't like the direction, speed, attitude, gear, or way I drive in/with then please feel free to exit the car and walk.I am the Driver, I am God, deal with it. I decide on what I want to listen to, you're stuck with that. I will decide on weather the heat is turned on and how much, you should've brought a sweater. You will wear your seatbelt! If we have a finite time to make the ferry or border then I will stop for nothing other then gas, deal with it.Shut up!!! The stereo is cranked for a reason. If you're not my Wife, then these rules apply to you, otherwise.... Yes dear...

I was reminded of 2 today.-Slamming shut the doors or hatch. This is not a 1982 Buick Regal. The doors are LIGHT!!! That really drives me nuts!-Dog in car (removed) I cant stand that one!(Thankfully that only happens a couple times a year for me!!!)

1) Over dramatics - Grabbing the OS handle, putting hands on the dash.2) Shoes on the dash - "Don't get too comfy, the sidewalk is right there", Although I don't mind feet or socks, they don't leave marks.3) I don't let anyone smoke in my car, they know better.4) Your two jobs in the passenger seat are -Watch for cops -Keep the radio tuned5) At night - Constantly pulling down the mirror and turning on the dome light. Hello! It's nighttime, I swear I'm putting a red LED in there one day.6) Playing with the seat. I have them set so they look even from the back (i.e. height, position, etc.). Unless we are road-tripping, don't touch it.7) Door Slamming8) Touching the glass9) Littering outside the window, keep it in the tray till we park.10) On that note, when we park, take it with you, my car is not a trash can.

There is NO WAY they can move their feet fast enough to prevent it from happening. I'd forbid it actually if it were my passenger.Dave

I've never understood why people sit that way in cars... It really isn't all that comfortable. You'd also think the possibility of explosives in the dash hurling something toward you at 200 MPH would be a sufficient deterrent. Nope!
