24 hour GTP Test Drive

Post by GT_03 »

In about an hour my wife's Alero is going to the dealership to get more repair's to it And i'm getting a 04 GTP to do the 24 hour test drive with. I'll keep you all posted on how the car performs, and even snap a few photos. I'm kinda pumped up

Ironically, Olds did better than Pontiac in the reliability ratings...http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=4842

Cool! Let us know. I love the look of the new GP. I would have bought one of those if the Vibe had not been out. I would definitely like to see pics.

Okay, i've only had the car for 2 hours, but WOW!!!!! The car has a real smooth feel to it, like gliding above the road. The power is unreal and always avaiable. I took T/C off and put into Drive, hit athe gas and left about a 4ft strip of tire on the asphalt. I real like the interior, very comfy and roomy. Here are a couple pics, and i'll give more details about the car later.

How 'bout one or three of the engine? I'd love to see the S/C.And How do you like the tap shift on the steering wheel? I was wondering if something like that could be put on my Vibe? Then I wouldn't want a manual so bad.

Not liking the gauges or steering wheel... ...too "batman" or "superman" like...I can just see some caped freak running around with a GP across his chest, you know?Too bad you didn't TD one with TAPshift...I hear that's awesome as hell...

Very nice! There's one in fusion orange a block from my apartment that I walk by every morning. I'm trying to convince my parents they should buy one.

Well, let me tell you how my day went. First i'll take an engine pic in the morning. On my way to work, i got into a little race with a Grand Am GT. I crushed him with the GTP. I must say i got lots of looks and stares. The car handles great, it is a little on the wide side. I had trouble keeping in my lane a couple times, when i was not paying attention. The ride is nothing but smooth. It does not have incredible power off the line, but I sware 60-120mph takes like 4 seconds. I really don't want to take it back tomorrow, but i think i got a decent preview of what the GTO is going to be like. Thanks for listening to my little adventure. I would suggest anyone to go try one out. Nice car, but i still love my Vibe

Before owning the mustang, I had a 98 GTP, it was one of the best cars ive driven..I was totally in love with it until fate decided I should get another car.I wasted a total of 120$ in engine mods and it got from a 15.5 1/4 time to a 14.9 that was EXTREMELY impressiveplus you can make babies in the back seats
