Chips in tint

Post by bull77 »

I had my vibe tinted 3 years ago and i noticed about a year ago that small chips had appeared on both front windows. Finally decided to take it to the tint place and try to have it replaced (lifetime warr.). They're telling me the chips are there b/c of the way we exit the vibe. He's seen it before where the seatbelts chip the tint when taken off. I think the issue is dirt that was never removed has chipped the tint. There's at least 5 chips on both driver/passenger side doors in the middle/lower half of the window. has anyone else seen or experienced this.

Yup, that's pretty common. My wife releases her belt and lets it snap back all the time. I hear it hit the window, sounds like it could break it. There's a few chips on the Vibe but my Sierra is really bad.

Weird...I haven't heard of this issue before, but I will be more careful.

...pardon my cynicism, but it sounds like typical "warrantee BACK-pedalling" to me....they aren't gonna DO anything until you get a lawyer and MAKE them honor the "...words on paper."
...and the Devil said: "...yes, but it's a DRY heat!"
