Looking for cargo net/tires....

Post by Tammy09 »

Hi. New '07 Vibe owner here and I'm looking for a few accessories/recommendations...1.) Where is the best place to find a side cargo net (not cargo cover)? I have an ugly box in the back of my car now and want something I can hook onto the side hooks and put a bottle of washer fluid, emergency kit, etc. in so that they don't roll around. I found this online (which is what I want), however am leery of purchasing through this website as I don't know how secure it is:http://pontiac.dealerfit.com/s...2.php2.) What is the best website for purchasing Vibe accessories from? I want to eventually get a cargo shade.3.) What are the best all season tires for a Pontiac Vibe? I've heard about Bridgestone Blizzaks as a snow tire, however they are not supposed to be driven year round and I don't have anywhere to store a 2nd set of non-winter tires. It can snow five months out of the year here, however most of that is concentrated in Jan/Feb. On the typical snowy day we might get a few inches, however there are occasional storms where we will get 6+ inches. I need something that won't get stuck in a couple inches of slush. What is recommended? Thanks!

The best sources I've found for GM parts are:gmpartsdirect.com - which is part of Flow GMgmparts4u.com - which is Vandergriff Chevrolet in Texas.dealerfit.com - don't know who they are withI ordered a rear GT spoiler from Vandergriff Chev but they let me cancel when it was on back order. I then ordered from dealerfit.com and got the spoiler and it was in perfect shape. After I ordered it, I found that gmparts4u.com would have saved me another $20.I just check all three because none of them always have the best price every time. I was going to order my rear mat and cargo net from one of them but I told my local dealership what the cost was plus shipping and they agreed to match the online cost.I agree that side net doesn't look very secure. The cargo net I got (OEM from GM) is an "envelope" style and lies flat across the floor - you can check out pics of it in the "floor mat" thread in the Interior section. I think the 1st gen Vibe cargo mat works the same way.Regarding tires, Car and Driver just did a tire test, I think in their August issue, and a Kumho Ventus tire looked like the best compromise to me - but I think that is really a summer tire and shouldn't be driven in freezing temps (I almost crashed into a curb on an icy day last winter for that reason).

I'm getting these put on Saturday:http://www.carreview.com/mfr/k....aspxI did the reviews and most liked these tires.I had a set of Solus's on my Highlander. Very happy with them. The size that fit the Vibe are $80 each. at America's tire/Discount tire.As far as cargo net finding, I looked for about a week and got these for 19 dollars:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AITGood luck
