My 4th of July was ruined!!!!!!

Post by Vibe »

As I was leaving a friends house at around 4 in the morning I had to back out of this long driveway ----and at the end my left outside mirror snagged the fence gate and sheared of my mirror. No damage to the door where it mounts but busted the plastic and broke the mirror glass. I was totally sick!!!So- I had to spent Friday,Saturday, and Sunday with no mirror. But today I called several dealers and I believe I got the only one in the Detroit area.Now-Thank God I watched the door pad removal on TritonGT's Vibe at our Fenton meet so I was able to change it myself. Took all of 30 minutes!!Cost of the entire mirror assembly was $104.00 and believe me I thought it would cost much more.NOW I'M HAPPY AGAIN!!!!!!! James (Vibe)

Sorry to hear about the accident, but I am glad to hear that you were able to fix it yourself. I am surprised that the cost of the mirror was not higher than that. Thanks for posting this. I'm sure others will have the same thing happen at one point or another.
