Not much pictures on this forum of engines.I would like to see some. Modified or not.(Please, don't sneak in a Toyota Corolla engine, and call it a Vibe motor, that would simply confuse many people here) :J)Heres from my 2004 Vibe, stock but clean:
Really easy. I have done this to all the cars I've gotten. Some of the engines really, I mean REALLY dirty.Get a can of Gunk foamy engine cleaner, go to a self car wash that has a high pressure nozzle, coat the engine with engine cleaner, soak for 5 minutes and spray off.Looks much better. The trick tho is once the engine is clean and dry, spray the whole engine bay with "No Touch" tire spray, wait about a half hour for it to soak in, then towel off excess. That easy.
my engine is neon green lol, but i definitely want to clean it up a little myabe this weekend coming up ill give your way a try and see how it comes out, cause im still amazed we have the same car same yr and your engine looks brand new. how many miles are you at?
57K It was a one owner, middle aged woman, Carfax came out great, all sheduled milage work done, local car. Quite happy.Looking forward to installing the Pioneer Avic Z3 next weekend.
I am slowly trying to clean it up -- I made great progress after a recent detail job but didn't take any after pics. Will keep on until it looks like one of the above (which ironically my car's engine is spotless like you guys, I slack when it comes to the Vibe. )
