seat keeps sinking

Post by lowincash »

i've noticed when i pump the seat height up, after a few days the seat is back to the normal lowest position. anyone notice this problem? maybe i have a faulty seat. i didn't really notice the seat dropping, i only noticed i needed to adjust the mirrors a bit but then it's the seat that keeps going back down lol maybe i'll have the dealer take a look =/

Take it to the dealer. That shouldn't be happening to the seat.

They'll just fix the mechanism that raises and lowers the seat and you'll have it back by the next day.

hahaha... chances are they wont give you a rental, and will hold your car for a month waiting for the "part" Good luck! I have always had good service at the dealer, so hopefully you will have the same luck!

i haven't had time to go to the dealer yet but the one i go to will give you a free loaner car if the car needs to stay overnight. they give free car wash everytime you go there too so i'll just wait a bit till my car's a bit more dirty first =D

My guess is your ingress/egress style....your left thigh is compressing the seat cushion enough to also push the seat height lever down.

I notice that sometimes, when I make a turn, I hear the seat click a bit and move down a bit. Every few days, I have to pump the lever a few times to keep the ride level the same. I have to bring it to the dealer to get it fixed. It's kinda annoying.
