Want A Train Horn

Post by skylinedrifter »

Has anyone here installed a train horn? I've seen a few posts where people have purchased the kits but no posts about their results so I am curious...I can go two routes, direct compressor or tank. Direct compressors are more affordable and I will have an easier time installing them but their sound.... lacks. Tank-driven systems sound much better but I need to then find a place for the compressor, tank, and the horns. The sound, however, is beyond awesome.

Train horns I believe are also illegal.

What you need is one with a switch so you can go back and forth from the "wimpy" standard issue horn and the train horn.
