And except for the Mustang and Xb, all those cars cost a bloody fortune!!! I always thought that "tuner" ment: Buy it cheap - mod the hell out of it! Not: Spend a fortune for a powerful car already done up and all that's left for the rich kids is to do is add a fart can!

Whats the definition of Tuner car anyway? I thought it meant "high tech" ( computerized & fuel injection) import cars that you can mod as opposed to carburated cars from the 60s & late 70s.

You can mod anything and buy mods for every car out there, that doesn't make it a tuner. If you ripped out the entire drive train out of a vette and put in a 572 modded w/ dual vvti, direct injection, with a mammoth supercharger that protruded 20" above the hood. Throw in a strengthened m22 and perhaps a 3:73 with a locker and then you might be on your way. Tinting the taillights doesn't make you a tuner, neither does your chrome exhaust tip! I don't mind rice.... as long as the steak and beer go with it!

Some cars have kept up nicely with the tech, unfortunatly it's getting to the point where the driver is getting removed from the picture. I wonder what will happen to the Viper when 2012 rolls around and they're forced to put electronic nanny's in. But yes, thankfully the days of the "Iron Duke Camaro" are long gone!
