Just got one for my 03 Vibe and I am very happy with it. Best part is I paid $9.95 + $4.50 SH, $14.45 total . That is right, way under any dealer! Why pay $25-30 for a filter that does not cost that much? Go to http://www.cgenterprises.com for his site. Gary has Vibe filters p/n 9924TC and Matrix filters p/n 9215C and others. The Matrix is a bit more $16.95 + S&H. I must say I had no issues with fit or quality and the replacement is marked for installation like the original. I knew if I looked hard enough I would find a substitute filter! Below is a pic of the Vibe filter...Any questions contact Gary@cabinairfilters.net or call 800-565-9743. He is very nice, professional and I talked to him direct. He has magnetic drain plugs as well! Can someone post his site as a link?

Yeah, what he sells is exactly wht you take out of the car, I can speak for the Vibe only that is. Replaced mine and bought another from him for the next time.
Not sure but I would think so. I doubt GM changed the HVAC system on the car since 2003. Call him and ask though...I just think he has not updated his site.
cabin filter replacement is the biggest waste of money. I just carefully vacuum mine at least once a year. My air flow is fine and the filter works as it should. The reason for this filter is to keep crap out of the plenum box that routes air to different vents. Also crap in the plenum clogs the "drain" where water build up with the A/C on or even after it rains. I will replace the filter when I find it damaged. Not before!

yes u can clean them out.but after awhile..just like ur underwear they get stinky and need to be changed..... lol......and for the price a few bucks it is well worth it to have a nice smelling car.....oh by the way i bought 3 from this guy.2 for my vibe and 1 for my accord...great prices.

Just ordered from them. $13.95 ea plus $5 shipping. Ordered 3 and got free shipping. Should arrive in a few days. Way more than first reported. Still less than dealer which I think is around $33 ea. Silly since it's just a fan-folded paper filter.Somewhere I read leaving it out could damage the compressor, but OM says no problem. Mine seemed to catch a lot of dirt and crap, so thought it best to have a clean one.

i ordered a cabin filter on 9-27 and my card still hasnt been charged so i sent gary an email and heres his replyWe sold 50 of these filters in one week and got cleaned out. We do expect to ship Tuesday and you will receive an email when it does. Credit cards are not charged until we ship.Sorry for the delay.Regards, -- Gary Grave
Yeah. I mean it's not cutting off flow to the engine and wasting fuel, but it'll make for cleaner air in the cabin of your Vibe.I've done mine twice now - about every 25k miles. I believe the service manual calls for replacement every 30k. I should probably replace mine more often given how much my A/C is on in the summer - just to make sure I don't let mildew build up on the filter.

I just ordered one off of eBay for $9.75 and @2.95 for shipping so $12.70 total. I haven't recived it yet, so can't comment, but his rating is 100% with 1644 responses... I'll let you know when I get it. Link:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...ZWDVW--Bill
I bought one at at NAPA a few years back, it wasn't cheap - over $20 if I remember. Just bought one a week ago at Walmart for $15, supposedly has baking soda in it for freshness... haven't installed it yet. http://www.framheavyduty.com/c...e$0@9

It was for the Matrix, so silly me thought it would fit.... I have read some others have bought filters that were supposed to be for the Matrix and were fine, but some had the same problem as I - too wide. Anyway, taking it back to Walmart.

Good deal, good find for sure! I had ordered the ebay one above a few weeks ago and those were just fine but I will try these once I am thru the two I bought off ebay.

Ditto on cutting a home filter down. These cabin filters are such a scam - allergy rated home filters are 4 times the size and 1/4 the cost - a 16 times savings. I have not tried it yet but intend to and will let everyone know how it goes. Here's some that are 15"x25", 6 pack for $56 - about 36 cabin filters - ~$1.50 per filter.
Homemade cabin filter ftw...to Home Depot get some good 3M furnace filter and cut it to the size of your cabin air filter and you will have 3-4 filter for spare. I replace it twice a year.

My mechanic wants to charge me $45 for the filter and .5 hours of labor, about $58, to pop in a new cabin filter. But after reading stuff here, I am just going to order them online and do it myself. $114 for a $20 part and 5 minutes of work! This is Curry's Auto in Falls Church, VA, supposedly woman-friendly. Yes, we can rip off men and women equally!
the dealership where i got my Vibe wants $45.06 for the filter. when the parts fella told me the price, i busted out laughing in his ear and exclaimed "REALLY?!!?!!???" to which he said, "yes! it that a problem?" i apologized for my outburst and told him to have a nice day.cheapest locally i have found is AutoZone for $13.99 but I'm going to get mine from a local mom-and-pop parts store for $14.79. I dont mind giving a local business my business for a buck.I would go the internet route but I'm in dire need of one pronto.
CarQuest has charcoal filled ones that are supposed to keep more stuff out. vibedrivermatt got one for around $25.00. I am going to try one next time I replace ours. I just replaced ours with regular ones from the local Toyota dealer though. They were around $20.00.

Just replaced my cabin filter on my 04 vibe. I'm the second Owner, it's got 78,000 miles and by the look of the old filter I don't think it's ever been changed. Paid 20 bucks at the Toyota dealership. Part # 87139-YZZ09 Tacoma cabin filter. It's the same OEM filter that fits the vibe for a lot less than getting it from Pontiac. I originally tried to use a cabin filter for an 04 Matrix but it doesn't fit a Vibe, too wide. This same cabin filter should also fit 03-08 Vibes.

Best price I could find for a 2009 Vibe cabin air filter was at rockauto.com for $9.98 each. I got five and they were $55.82 shipped.Really though, something so thin and insubstantial should cost about $2.50. Probably costs all of about $.24 to make them in Cambodia.Toyota dealer wanted $30. Jiffy Lube wanted $25 and the local auto parts place was $15.BTW, I rockauto.com has the 2003-2008 cabin air filters for under $5 a piece.

A while back, we started to get a moldy smell in the car. When we'd turn the air on or heat right away, we'd notice the windshield starting to get fogged up by the air ports. Took a while and some troubleshooting to end up at the filter, but once we swapped out the filter all our troubles were gone. I had read about using Lysol in the air vents, and getting some professional cleaning done... none of that was necessary.I don't have a place to work on the car, so I take it to an oil place for that... and they didn't mention the cabin air filter until the last 2 changes... but they do charge a LOT for them as everyone knows. On ebay I got 2 filters for $4.06 each, for a total of $12.82 with tax & shipping. Might have found a better deal, but its still less than 1/2 of what oil place and auto parts store wanted for 1 filter.on ebay the seller was tnaautoparts626
I just ordered the Cabin filter from Amazon (TYC 800038P) they were $8 each - to get free shipping I ordered two cabin filters and two air filters ($8.54 each) so the order total was over $25... Not bad although it will take awhile to get them.
I noticed a funky smell coming from my vents just today. Where did I turn? Here of course!! I love this site. So I went ahead and ordered 2 filters for less than $15 total including shipping.
