I doubt it will be either. If anyone is to make an event of it, probably would be a dealer. However I can't see a dealer ordering many for stock since it's being discontinued.

i have high hopes that GM will bring the pontiac name back into circulation once everything is settled down.but i really would like to get either the last G8 GT or the Solctic Coupe GXP.

Pontiac, one of the performance divisions in GM, named after an American Chief will be soon killed off by the corporation.Oldsmobile, founded by American born Ransom E. Olds, was dissolved in 2004 after 107 years. Longest lived car company at that time after Peugeot and Daimler. Chevrolet, a French name, lives on.Buick, a Scot name, lives on. To me it's always been Beeuu- ick, with the accent on 'ick'.Cadillac, another French name. And this division was formed from the debris of the Henry Ford Company, when Henry left the firm named after him. It also lives on. Not a big thing, but I don't think GM likes American names. By the way... the last Olds built went to the Olds museum in Lansing, Michigan.
