I have been a member of the website for a while, but have not posted anything, but the website has a ton of information that I have used.Just wanted to see what you guys/gals think.I have a 2003 Vibe with 104,000 miles on it. It is the pewter color one with A/T, A/C, sunroof alloy wheels. I put four brand new tires on it last year and just replaced the fog lights.I looked at the Kelley Blue book and it says about $5,000 in good condition, does that sound right for a private party sale? I had a problem, not sure why, with a rat chewing through the plastic motor mount cover (the very top cover closest to the hood, not sure if this is the right name). I had the dealership replace it and it happened again, but this time it is all cosmetic. The dealership said there is nothing mechanically wrong with it, but it does have a about a 4" chew spot if that makes any sense.I am in Buffalo. Thanks for the information and the website!!
I don't know for sure about up there, but I just paid 6000 for a 2003 Vibe GT at a dealer here in Des Moines, IA. Bluebook said it should be closer to 7000 though.

Thanks a lot. I am planning on selling it, but was not sure what to ask. Do you think $4,500 is a fair price?I will probably list it here when I get some pictures tomorrow.
There are three places to look for used car values -edmunds.comkbb.comnada.comPersonally I don't have much faith in that data. There is one other place you should check - carmax.comYou can get a list of all of the 2003 and 2004 Vibes that CarMax has for sale in the USA and see what "no haggle" price they are asking for those with similar miles and options.Price yours $1,500 to $2,000 less and show prospective buyers the CarMax info.I suspect that the CarMax prices are about $7,000-8,000, if not more. That CarMax info helped me in pricing and selling a 2004 SWB T&C a couple years ago, and my 2003 Vibe last February. I got $9,500 for my 2003 VIBE with at, ac and power pkg but I only had 33,000 miles.

We originally bought it from Carmax about 3 years ago. I will check that and see what the options are.I am basically looking to get the payoff for it. Bought another car and dont need three.
You will be AMAZED at the differecne between what CarMax will offer you and what they will sell it for on their lot.Example, in July 2007, they offered me $8,000 for my 2004 SWB T&C with 22,000 miles. The person at CarMax all but apologized for the low offer but said he could get them at auction for $7,000 - offered me $8,000 because it was in exceptional condition. But their "no haggle" retails on similar T&C's were $13,000-$14,000. I sold it myself for $11,500.[However - CarMax is not alone in low offers - the dealer where I bought my 2007 only offered me $7,000 in trade.]

That is good to know. I took my 99 Honda civic to them and they offered me $1200, so I sold it myself for $2300.I am just trying to get close to the payoff for the Vibe so that I dont have to make payments every month.thanks for the info
