I have replaceing the rear brake pads & rotors on my '03 Vibe GT. The pads have holes that pins pass thru. Do I need to take off the bolts than hold the Calipers together or can you take the pins out without taking those bolts. Note I am not talking about the bolts that secure the caliper to the wheel assy. Thanks for the help
Sorry I'm like a year late, but I just did this same thing today. You do not need to take off the caliper, You only need to take out the two bolts that hold the caliper together (the larger ones 14mm I think) and then pry and pry and pry and pry and pry and swear until you get the pins to come out the back side. At least mine were a pain to get loose. Installation is 10,000 times easier than removal.

Wow, you ARE a year late or so... lol.. FYI, When doing exposed calipers, it's ALWAYS a good idea to take them apart to the fullest extent and lube all the contact points...
