It has been 2 years since the Vibe was Sold

Post by michaelgt »

It has now been two years since I sold the Vibe. I bought my wife a Vue. I have had the privilege of driving the following:HHRLucerneDTSExpressAuraSierra CrewcabCanyon Extended CabYukonAcadia AWDG8STSSaab 9-3 ConvertibleI am not sure which has been my favorite. The STS was great on a roadtrip to Chicago. The Sierra Crewcab was a great truck. The Acadia was great for family of 6 and never a problem in snow. The G8 got me lots of looks, The Saab was fun when the top was down. The Lucerne is a great roadtrip car.I guess I have not missed the Vibe. It had over 120k miles, and was fun for the first 4 years. If I was buying today, I am not sure what I would get. I liked the HHR for being quiet with similiar space. I really like the new Equinox. My wife's Vue has been Ok.

I love the HHR. If that car had 3 inches more hip and shoulder room, I would have bought one no ifs, ands or buts.Front hip and shoulder room:HHR: 50 / 54 inchesVibe: 52 / 53 inchesRondo: 55 / 57 inchesIf the HHR had come in at 53 / 57, I'd be in one today. As you can see, there was a clear winner in this category.
ex Vibe: 2005 Abyss 2 tone base, auto, power package (33.24 mpg combined)2008 Kia Rondo EX V6 7 passenger Volcanic Red w/ tan cloth interior (26.7 mpg combined) Finally got 30 mpg combined on the Rondo V-6 (10.24.09) Smith Driving

Did you check out a mazda 3? High ratings on that thing.HHR is deff a nice car instead of a vibe but rides more like a suv. What about a malibu?wait..are you just listing things or looking for a car?

If things stay the same, I do not need to buy a car until July 2011. I realized that it had been exactly 2 years since I sold the Vibe. I have driven some excellent vehicles, really commenting that I do not know what I would buy if I had too. I love the chance to drive so many different vehicles. I still love driving my 3/4 ton Yukon XL with the 8.1 (496), except for the gas mileage. However, it tows anything I put on the hitch ball.
