I was considering making my own cargo cover (shelf) like a few others have done. However, I was looking at the Pontiac website and they list two different covers. It appears that the cargo security shade is the folding cover that came with the earlier models and many people call a worthless POS. cost $89The one they call a cargo cover looks much more promising though. I can only find a very tiny picture of it and it is hard to tell but it appears to be a retractable cover like many other vehicles use. It is only $60. I think I might like the retractable one if that is what it is. Can anyone help me out? Do you have it in your Vibe?

I never figured this one out - I'd like to know the difference myself between the two. On the website the picture makes one of them look like a retractable shade, like I had in my old Escort wagon. I would have liked that. When I got around to buying I had decided I was going to get all those accessory things online, so I never even asked about it.

I was shown a $60 collapsible cover at the dealer. It folds up into a bag and springs open when taken out, somewhat like those laundry baskets. It looked handy, but I didn't want it for the money.
This is something they should have copied from the 2001 and on PT Cruiser. That was a very functional, easy to use and attractive cargo cover.
