Post by zech912 »

Has anyone done these? Know which size to order? Have any helpful hints? Much appreciated if you can advise me.

That's impressive!!! newb questions because just got the 2009 Vibe (tremendous DD so GTO stays in garage):1) are not my low beams on the outside? Is that a different model year? 2) How much for projectors, how difficult to install?3) to disengage the DRLs, on GTO, it was easy, had a relay dedicated to DRLs that I simply pulled out, but in owner's manual, it appears that Vibe DRL relay is shared by bunch of other stuff. So, if that is true, how do I disengage DRLs?Thank you again.edit: in reference to DRLs, it occurs to me DRLs are the inner lights on 09 Vibe right? Does that mean they can be safely left undisturbed and working if I install HIDs?

1. i'm not fully sure of the 09 headlamp setup as i have an 04, anyone else? 2. keithvibe is the expert there so i'll divert again.3. (where i'm proficient) you are correct in that the drl module is shared by a bunch of things. it controls the dashboard, tail lights, brake lights, head lights, door beep, etc. depending on how you want to go about it you have a few options. search around for drl disable and you will find many options. the one i did (http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=36183) allows you to keep the automatic lights. let me know what you want to do and i'll see what i can figure.
None. Vibe is gone.

thank you very much tribalman. that is a big help. i would appreciate very much also if anyone has direct experience with 2009 setup. i will be searching also, but i am guessing i have to be cautious, if the setups vary among different years.

There is a How to disable the DRL's in the how to section for the 09's You will lose auto lights though. But yes being the DRL's are on highbeam you don't need to disable them if you were to use HID's on your lowbeam only.
