I just blew all my money on a set of new wheels and tires and so I can't afford to get this fixed. This is my first attempt at fixing my own car so please bare with me.I left my bike rack on my car for a week when it was particularly rainy. I'm guessing I absent mindedly turned on my rear windshield wiper even though the bike rack keeps it from moving, so now it's dead and stuck in the up-right position. When I turn it on there's no sound, no nothing, and the arm cannot be moved from it's position.Where should I even start? Do you think it's a fuse or the wiper motor itself? I figure this should be a fairly simple fix so please stop me if it's not, but does anyone have any advice or experience fixing their own rear windshield wiper? Thanks.
I'd check the fuse first.Last year after I got rear ended, my wiper failed. It turned out to be a relay that needed to be replaced.
