I saw these at Meijer tonight... Anybody heard of these or tried them?http://www.lighting.philips.co...ng=enSame brightness as normal halogens but 20% less power consumption. One of the talking points that the anti-DRL people have is that they waste gas, so this should be slightly better for them. I run my headlights all the time, so I would be a good guinea pig for this test. I highly doubt you would really be able to notice the difference in milage.. But lower power means a reduced load on the electrical system, so I could see that being beneficial in itself. IIIRC they were a little over $20 for a two pack of 9003's, not that big of a gamble.

"10% increase in efficiency: and "they are more efficient up to 10 percent")i've had my car with the same headlamps for 3 years now. i am not the first owner but as far as i know they are the factory lights. my car is an 04. (just going to do a bit of speculative math now) if the bulbs were burn right now and i were to replace them with the ecovisions i would expect them to run for a bit under 6 years. a savings of 4 gallons across 6 years? and at the same cost of the factory bulb according to "gm part's direct". not worth it IMO. that's such a nominal amount of fuel to be saved. if it was more significant savings that would be better.
