should't be a problem. GM will still warranty the work for the length of the warranty. If for some reason you have an issue out of warranty and your local pontiac dealer is out of business by that time. You could talk to your local toyota dealer, being GM just buys the parts from them and marks them up and resells them to you.

My recollection is that the government also said it would back the warranty on GM cars bought after a certain date. I know it was a date after 1-12-09 when I bought my '09 Vibe so I don't have that protection - still I am not concerned. You can probably find that info via google.IMO if you are eligible for the GM Loyalty Rebate of $2,000 now is as good a time as any to buy while the selection of '09's is still good. If not you might want to wait as I suspect that GM will extend that extra rebate to everyone before too long. Some dealers must have bought a few Vibes with an extra $2,000 or so incentive from GM. Chesrown.com still shows one 1.8L AT AC Power Pkg MSRP 19,480 for 16,930, less the $2000 loyalty that gets down to $14,930. You might find something like that in your area - or maybe it is worth $2,000 to drive to Columbus. [I got mine in Jan at about that price - also used $3,000 in GM Card earnings so my net was a little under $12,000.]
