One '09 Left at $4,800 off MSRP

Chesrown Delaware, OH ad in today's paper - looked at website - looks like it is the Red 1.8L AT AC Pwr Pkg $19,480 msrp, web price $16,930 which is $14,930 with GM loyalty rebate. I wish the dealer had a red one when I bought mine. My choices at that price were limited white, black, silver and charcoal. I browsed several other dealer websites - most just list the msrp as if that is the selling price. Then they ask you to contact them. If you REALLY want to move some metal I think Chesrown has the right idea.

I wish they were not allowed to show a price with incentives already taken - when the incentive can't be used by just anyone. I never had a GM vehicle before my Vibe, so if I went there thinking I was going to get it for the advertised price I'd be in for a shock.

The newspaper ad showed the price without the loyalty incentives and one $2,000 less identified as "with" the loyalty incentive. The website showed only the price availabel to anyone (i.e. wityhout that $2,000 reduction). But I know what you mean - I have seen ads with a price that only in the very fine print told you it was after this and that incentive even including a military incentive that very few would qualify for. In the State of Ohio we taxpayers fund an Attorney General's Office that is pretty much clueless when it comes to logical enforcement of the consumer protection laws. The last AG was forced to resign after a scandal that involved (removed), money and politics. He and his cronies were from the Youngstown area - you may have read about Congressman Trafficant who may just now be getting out of federal prison for his misdeeds. Yet the people up there seem to love Trafficant. The Youngstown area was said to have its own mafia - don't know how true that was/is true.
