Camping in Cal. Yosemite Park 07

Post by petervibe »

Made the trip in my 84 911 Carrera, 3 weeks, 7k plus miles, camping in the Sierra Nevadas was beautiful. We drove to SD, then north to the wine country, and back via Vegas, and Durango , Colorado. then Hwy 50 east .

Long road trips are the best. You should post more pics.

It must be a different mindset entirely. Here in NJ you CAN drive all day but some of it would be in circles and you'd surely be home by nightfall. NJ is Twice as big as the largest island there! There are counties in Texas bigger than or almost as big as that one island! It must be amazing for one to come from that finite situation to the mainland and just gaze at the sheer expanse of real estate, especially in the Western States. Then again, many covet living where you do.

I don't know the whole island too well. I prefer to stay in my comfort zones LOL. I avoid Waikiki at all costs. Today I filled up the tank just knowing I was going to do a bit of driving to the opposite side of the island, (and since gas is going higher each time I go-$3.21 today!) where I've been a couple of times, but usually it's to do my errand and then straight home. But I wanted to find the mall after to pick up dinner. So it was different this time but I still found it LOL. All that driving and the only Vibe I saw was a lava parked outsideSears auto Booooo
